Renesas Semiconductor Design (M) Sdn Bhd (RDM) was established in January 2008. RDM consolidated IC Design, Discrete Design and Marketing into a single synergistic entity. Currently, RDM consists of 3 departments, 1st Design Department, 2nd Design Department and Diode Business Department.

RDM primary business objective is to increase Renesas sales in semiconductor devices by providing hardware, software, LSI and business development support to Asian customers. The group aims to reduce customers’ time to market by providing expert advise and training in Renesas devices for customers new to the product line. RDM also has the added advantages of low costs and proximity to Asian customers.  

The Marketing & Business Planning section specializes in market research and customer requirements identification. This information will then be relayed to the IC Designer as a basis in formulating LSI development strategies. In RDM, we are able to provide solutions at every stage of a typical development cycle.
